Audio trimming questions

Is my audio uploaded?

No. The file is decoded and exported in this browser tab. This tool does not send your audio to a conversion server. The page still loads the static site, shared UI, and AdSense scripts described in the privacy policy.

Which files can I use?

Use an audio file up to 50 MB that your browser can decode. MP3 and WAV are the most broadly supported inputs; support for other formats depends on the browser.

Does it export MP3?

No. The current tool exports a WAV clip. It trims the decoded audio without adding another lossy MP3 encoding step.

Can I use any song or recording?

Use audio you created, own, or have permission to edit. You remain responsible for copyright, privacy, and the rules of the platform where you share the result.

How do I trim an audio file in the browser?

Choose an MP3 or WAV file, set the start and end seconds with the sliders or number fields, preview the selection, and choose Trim and download WAV.

Worked example

Use the waveform to find the rough range, then enter exact seconds for a clean start and end. Preview the selection before downloading the WAV clip.

Limits to know

The source file is decoded in this browser tab and is not uploaded. The tool accepts files up to 50 MB when the browser can decode them, and the current export is WAV rather than MP3.
