Frequently asked questions

Does this tool send my date or time to a server?

No. The timestamp is calculated in your browser. This page does not upload, save, or send your date, time, or timezone to a timestamp service. Shared site assets and advertising scripts may still load.

Which Discord timestamp styles are supported?

The generator supports t, T, d, D, f, F, s, S, and R, matching Discord's documented Unix timestamp styles.

Why can a selected local time be invalid?

Some local times do not exist during a daylight-saving-time clock change. Choose another time or timezone when the selected wall-clock time falls inside a skipped hour.

How do I create a Discord timestamp?

Choose the date and time where the event happens, select that event timezone, choose one of the nine Discord styles, and copy the generated code into Discord.

Worked example

Use `F` for a full date and short time, `R` for a relative countdown, or `t` for a compact time. The same timestamp can render in each viewer's local timezone.

Limits to know

The calculation runs in this browser tab. Discord timestamp syntax uses whole Unix seconds, and a local wall-clock time inside a daylight-saving-time gap cannot be represented in that timezone. This page does not upload or store your input.
