Safe text renderingFrequently asked questions
Is my Markdown uploaded?
No. Markdown is read and rendered in this browser tab. The page does not upload or store your document, although shared site assets and advertising scripts still load.
Which Markdown features are supported?
Headings, paragraphs, emphasis, links, unordered and ordered lists, task lists, blockquotes, fenced code blocks, horizontal rules, and simple pipe tables are supported.
Does it render raw HTML or remote images?
No. Raw HTML is shown as text, remote images are not fetched, and embedded code is not executed. Links are limited to http, https, and mailto targets.
How do I preview Markdown safely in a browser?
Paste Markdown or open one local .md file to see headings, lists, links, code blocks, and simple tables rendered in the browser. Copy or download the original source when you are ready.
Worked example
Start with a short README or note, then check the heading hierarchy, code fences, links, and tables in the preview. Keep the source file as the canonical copy of your document.
Limits to know
The preview accepts up to 1 MiB. Raw HTML, remote images, Mermaid, and LaTeX are not rendered; links are limited to http, https, and mailto targets. Your Markdown is not uploaded or stored by the tool.
